If you've ever wanted to wake up in an old fashioned lakeside cabin, with views of water sparkling below in your own sandy cove, while your boat waits for you on a private dock, this is the place for you. This big A-frame looks directly down the lake from 2 expansive decks (an upper and a lower). The view has has been described as 'the best view on the Lake'. Make sure to bring your binoculars to watch the wildlife, the tabletop mountain in the distance, and to check out the other boats on the lake. The house is extremely private with no houses on either side, and is nestled among ancient oaks and pines. With an east facing exposure, you can watch the sun come up from the deck, but have shade for cocktail hour or dinner on the deck. There is level off street parking for 4 cars plus your boat and trailer. There is also a level entry into the house with no stairs. Your rental includes a total of 3 side by side, and you have exclusive use of all 3.. The house is on one lot, and sits higher to capture the views. The adjacent lots have the waterfront area which is accessed via a trail down from the house to the beach and dock. There is no building on the waterfront lot, and the lots appear to be one property (please see pictures to get a clear idea of the proximity of the house to the lake). Please note trail slopes down from the house and is uphill from the beach. This is a moderately steep climb and may not be suitable for the elderly. Alternate access to the beach area is from the launch area which is next door to the beach area. The beach area has a big U-shaped newer dock for your boats. There is also a sandy area with chairs and a picnic table so you can spend the day at the water. Wakeboard, water ski, jet ski, tube, kayak, or simply float or swim in the lake. The waterfront area is on slow water (meaning boats can only cruise slowly in this part of the lake) making it ideal for swimming. You can launch around the corner at the homeowner's launch facility and will be approximately 5 minutes to the fast water. There are 3 levels on the house, each level has a full bathroom. There are 2 master bedrooms, each with a king bed and a lake view. The other 2 bedrooms have a total of 3 queen beds. There are also 2 living areas so the kids can have their own space to play games and watch TV. The dining area has a big round table that will seat 8 and overlooks the lake. There is also a counter area with 2 barstools and another table on the deck for dining. You will find a well-equipped kitchen and a china cabinet with everything you need to serve your group. There is also a newer gas grill on the deck. We will consider one or two well behaved dogs with out posted pet fee added to your rent. There is a large dog run that is off the lower deck so your pup can be outside in a secure enclosure. The best thing about the house is the ability of the group to hang out and enjoy the vacation in so many different areas. Play on the beach and dock area, watch the action on the upper deck with an expansive lake view, hide out and play cards on the lower deck (completely shaded with furniture and a direct view of the beach) watch a movie in the game room, cook, talk, and drink wine in the main living area, or hide out in the loft to read, watch TV or work on the computer (there is Internet access). If you are a "lake" person, a "boat" person, a "view" person or someone who wants to 'graduate' from camping this could be the perfect vacation for you. Although there are plenty of sightseeing excursions you could add to your vacation, most of our guests just want to be at the house and at the beach. No headache of driving someone and the boat 1/2 way across the lake to launch and then one drives the boat and the other takes truck and trailer back. It is less than 2 minute drive to launch entrance. As with many waterfront homes we do have stairs involved and a sloped driveway. We also have street level private parking as well if you’d like to park above and walk down.

Located directly on Washington Street, the main street of the historic, Gold Rush town of Sonora, is our recently remodeled apartment with a bit of the old character left behind. The unit has a balcony overlooking Washington Street, nicely equipped kitchen (Silverware, Coffee Maker, Microwave, Oven, Stove, Refrigerator) and is steps from shopping and restaurants. Just an hour from the entrance to Yosemite, skiing at Dodge Ridge, Big Trees State Park, Murphys (wine tasting), Historic Columbia and Jamestown. Bedroom in the back is seprarate from the living space and quiet (away from the road). Fold out couch has a brand new memory foam mattress and comfortably sleeps 2 but please note that the unit is right on Washington st so you may hear traffic noise in the morning if you are a light sleeper. Ear plugs are available in the bathroom vanity if needed. Free off street parking (3 hour limits after 8:00 am until 6:00 pm weekdays with no overnight/weekend limits)

Sonora is a unique gold rush era town with lots of history and interesting things to see. Sonora is also a convenient base to explore nearby places such as Yosemite, Pinecrest, Columbia State Park, Big Trees, Natural Bridges... and so much more. This property has a separate entrance. Owners live upstairs but the layout of the house is such that there will be no contact. Of course, owners are available if needed. Bed is a Cal King and you have access to a small yard.
